In-situ assesment and repair of timber

(summer semester)

This courses is intended for Master students studying architecture, civil- or mechanical engineering

Qualification goal

The students will acquire relevant knowledge on non- and Semi-destructive methods for the in-situ evaluation of wood in buildings. In addition, they will be taught profound knowledge on principles, procedures and limitations of the different methods. Hands-on experience will be extended by laboratory and "in-field" exercises.
