Seismic test series 2, Bristol & Prague

The seismic tests of single- and three-story laminated timber frames were performed at the EU Dynamic Laboratory of the University of Bristol, UK. The laminated frames were locally reinforced with glass fiber fabric and glued-in rods to prevent brittle failure. Special 3-D moment connections were designed and tested in the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague. The international research team, led by Prof. Kasal consisted of researchers and students from Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, and the UK.
